Casa Quintas is located in Barril, a quiet and small countryside village next door Ericeira;
a traditional Portuguese fisherman’s town that has become a surfers’ paradise over the last years. Casa Quintas is located between town and beach. The golden sand beach of Praia Calada is only 2 minutes away and the famous beach of Ribeira D’Ilhas is just around the corner.
The beautiful modernized Portuguese villa is found on a picturesque estate and surrounded by rustic vineyards and lots of fresh air. Offering eight luxurious rooms; all equally comfortable designed with private bathrooms and all of them have a phenomenal view. Every morning a delicious homemade breakfast is served. Relax in one of the garden seats or sip your cold drink at the pool and enjoy the sun.

OUR SERVICES
Breakfast
Every morning we serve a different homemade breakfast dish with fresh and local products together with a fresh juice, good coffee, fresh fruits and delicious Portuguese pastries. On Sundays, we serve our breakfast feast!
Pool
The 10-meter pool invites you to swim some laps or just take a dip and cool off. The sunbeds are calling for a little siësta!
Garden
The casa is completely surrounded by a large garden with umbrellas and little seats everywhere to read your book, sip your glass of wine and enjoy the amazing view on the vineyards in the back of the house.
Bar
Get some cold drinks and salty snacks at the pool bar and enjoy the view from a cozy corner in the garden or from your private balcony!
BBQ nights
Sign up for our famous BBQ nights served on Monday and Thursday evening! Enjoy a tasty (grilled) dinner on one of the terraces in the garden or at the pool area. Let's create some summer evening vibes!

A high-speed wifi connection is available in the entire house. In case you need to get some work done or watch your favorite series.

THINGS TO DO
Yoga
Take some time to relax body and mind while listening to the sound of chirping birds. A certified yoga teacher gives classes in our garden or at the pool once a week for €15/session. Good start of your day!
Winery tour
The Casa is surrounded by vineyards so you should definitely taste some of Portugal finest wines at local boutique wineries. From one of the longest wine traditions, Quinta da Almiara, to the producer of the only wine in the world from Jampal variety, Manzwine.
MountainBiking
Explore the beautiful coastline and countryside with a high quality bike. From beginner to advanced, the different trails within the Ericeira and Sintra area will suit every level. You can choose from 6 different tours.
Golfing
There are several beautiful golf resorts to play a 9 or 18 hole course only 30 minutes drive away from Casa Quintas. Some courses are overlooking the spectacular cliffs and ocean or present you with a peaceful inland scenery over the hills.
Surfing
As part of the World Surfing Reserve, Ericeira has 7 world-class waves that allow beginners as well as advanced surfers to enjoy the waves. We work together with a professional private surf teacher (from €55,- p.p.).
Horse riding
Enjoy the beautiful scenery by a horse-riding experience. An inland ride on the most amazing and quiet trails trough eucalyptus forests on a Portuguese Lusitano horse. A guided tour of 2-3 hours is €70,- p.p. and experience is required.
